Where Otterly is stronger
Google's AI surfaces, scale and reporting. Otterly includes AI Overviews and Copilot on every plan and sells AI Mode as an add-on - Zene tracks none of the three today. Its plans scale to 400 prompts on Premium and from 1,000 on Enterprise, where Zene tops out at 75 questions. On Standard and up you get API and MCP access, a Looker Studio connector listed in Google's gallery, and Agent Analytics for AI crawlers. Seats are unlimited, and it has a Semrush App Center app if your team already lives in Semrush.
Where Zene is different
Zene treats monitoring as the first third of the job. The scan that scores your visibility also records who beat you and which sources the engine trusted, then turns that into ranked actions with drafts - the brief to write, the FAQ and schema to add, the source to pitch. Claude, Perplexity and Grok are included on Pro instead of sold per engine, and 15 questions on all five cost $19 a month.
