Rankscale is a credit-metered AI visibility dashboard with one of the busiest changelogs in the category. Between late September and October 1, 2026 it added Meta Muse Spark as an engine, AI map and local results tracking, and new API endpoints for prompt research and bulk search terms.

Where Rankscale is stronger
Coverage and tooling. Rankscale tracks Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, Copilot, DeepSeek, Mistral and Meta Muse Spark - none of which are in Zene's five live engines. Its MCP server can create and update search terms, topics and dashboards (with confirmations), and recent releases added query fan-out insights, share of voice for source-box domains, a Shopping and Ads module, a branded vs non-branded filter and, on October 1, 2026, tracking of brands in AI map and local listings. If you want an AI assistant to manage your tracking, Rankscale's MCP can write from its Pro plan; Zene's is read-only until Agency.
Where Zene is different
Zene doesn't meter by engine. Pro includes Claude, Perplexity and Grok alongside ChatGPT and Gemini on a fixed allowance (15 questions on Pro), so a Claude answer doesn't cost more than a ChatGPT one. Each scan on Pro ends in a prioritized action plan with drafts you can publish - a content brief, FAQ copy, schema JSON-LD and an llms.txt - plus a list of cited sources where competitors appear. How to choose
If you need AI Overviews, AI Mode or local results, pick Rankscale and budget credits per engine. If you want five engines, a flat bill and the fixes drafted for you, pick Zene.
