Zene vs Peec AI

Peec AI is one of the most polished tools in AI-search analytics: built in Berlin, backed by a $21M Series A (November 2025), and used by what it calls "3000+ brands and agencies". If you're comparing it with Zene you're asking the right question - both track whether AI engines mention your brand, with different centers of gravity.

In one line: Peec is analytics-first, Zene is fix-first. Peec gives marketing teams deep reporting - prompt volume, brand perception, shopping and ads views - and states that it does not generate content. Zene runs multi-engine tracking from a free plan and, on Pro, turns each gap into a prioritized action with drafts (brief, FAQ, schema, llms.txt) and outreach targets.

Choose Zene if…

  • You want a free start - no card, first real answers in minutes
  • You want Claude, Perplexity and Grok included at $19/mo instead of paying per add-on model
  • You want the tool to draft the fix (brief, FAQ, schema, llms.txt), not only report the gap
  • You watch more than one brand - Agency covers unlimited brands and 75 questions shared across them for $99/mo; Peec Starter is 1 project

Choose Peec AI if…

  • Google AI Overviews, AI Mode and Copilot matter to you today - Peec tracks them by default; Zene doesn't yet
  • You want prompt-volume scores, brand-perception objections and AI shopping analytics
  • You track a large prompt set - Peec Pro covers 150 prompts ($245/mo) and Advanced 350 ($495/mo); Zene tops out at 75 questions on Agency
  • You want unlimited seats on every plan

Where Peec is stronger

Breadth and analytics depth. Peec tracks Google AI Overviews, AI Mode and Copilot by default - Zene's five live engines don't include them yet. It scores prompt demand on a 1-5 scale (even on prompts you haven't tracked), and its Brand Perception module repeatedly asks each model why someone might not choose you, then groups the answers. Add AI shopping analytics, an ads view and room for 150 prompts on Pro or 350 on Advanced, and you have a strong tool for a team whose job is to analyze AI search as a channel.

Where Zene is different

Zene's bet is that most small teams don't need another dashboard - they need to know what to ship next. On Pro, every scan ends in a prioritized action plan with drafts you can publish: a content brief, FAQ copy, schema JSON-LD, an llms.txt, plus a list of cited sources to pitch. Peec's own documentation says content generation is not offered by design. Zene also includes Claude, Perplexity and Grok on Pro, where Peec sells extra models as add-ons.

Pricing

Zene: Free, Pro $19/month, Agency $99/month ($190/$990 yearly), in USD. Peec's published prices are $95, $245 and $495 a month, with Enterprise on request and extra models at $35-165 a month (per its ai-instructions page). If budget is the constraint, the comparison mostly ends here. If you need AI Overviews coverage and analyst-grade reporting today, Peec's price can be worth it.

How to choose in ten minutes

Run the same brand through both. If the screen that excites you is a trend line with prompt volume next to it, pick Peec. If it's "here are your three highest-impact fixes, drafted", pick Zene.
